Executive Chef Jeffrey Power's progressive New American cuisine pairs perfectly with Dettera's premier collection of new and old world wine selections.
Chef Power develops his menus using the freshest, pedigree meats, fish, fowl and seasonal produce available. His inspired dishes are composed with a focus on sustainability, locally farmed, raised and produced ingredients, and the use of our own organic garden (during spring and summer). Power cut his teeth as a Sous Chef/Saucier at renowned Philadelphia institution Le Bec-Fin under Chefs Georges Perrier and Pierre Calmels, and takes great pride in developing intensely flavorful sauces and reductions that are often the centerpiece of his dishes.
A passionate wine lover, Developer/Owner Frank Lutter has worked tirelessly with GM/Sommelier Joseph Malosh to develop one of the most revered wine programs in the region. With an offering of over 50 wines by the glass and exceeding 200 by the bottle, Dettera's wine collection represents regions, countries, and varietals from around the world specifically chosen with flavor profiles to compliment Chef Power's inspired cuisine. This commitment to artisan wine provides Malosh and Power the ability to create ethereal tasting menus with wine pairings that are both inspired and unmatched.
Dettera's décor evokes a warm, cosmopolitan ambiance with its two-tiered dining space adorned with unique architectural features like exposed trestle ceilings, shadowbox light fixtures, stunning red silk umbrella chandeliers and a custom-made wine cellar atop a spectacular vineyard drying rack suspended over the bar that spans the main and second floor dining areas.
From casual dining in our alfresco wine lounges to the lively first floor dining room featuring a dramatic curved black granite bar and oversized round banquettes, Dettera is the perfect destination for Philadelphia-area food lovers.
A more intimate second floor features soaring windows overlooking Amber's Main Street and intimate dining tables spaciously placed alongside the open view of the large bar area below.
